Nelson Cruz Sampaio Neto graduated in Electrical Engineering in 2001 from Universidade Federal do Pará (UFPA) and received a MSc degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidade Federal do Pará (UFPA) in 2006.

Nelson is currently a researcher at the Spoken Language Systems Lab (L²F).

His current research interest is: automatic speech recognition.
