Porfírio Filipe graduated in Electrotechnical and Computer Engineering in 1996 by [http://www.isel.ipl.pt/ Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa] (ISEL), Lisbon. He received a Master’s degree in 1999, from [http://www.ist.utl.pt/ Instituto Superior Técnico] (IST), Lisbon, also in Electrotechnical and Computer Engineering.   He teaches system engeneering topics at ISEL since 1997. In 2001, he became a member of the newly created Spoken Language Systems Lab (L2F) of INESC-ID. He is a member of [http://www.ordemengenheiros.pt/ Ordem dos Engenheiros]. Currently, he is a last year PhD student, with thesis “Dynamic Integration of Artifacts into Dialogue Systems”.

Porfírio Filipe

Porfírio Filipe graduated in Electrotechnical and Computer Engineering in 1996 by Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa (ISEL), Lisbon. He received a Master’s degree in 1999, from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), Lisbon, also in Electrotechnical and Computer Engineering. In 2007, also from IST, he received a Doctor of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Computer Engineering. He has been teaching computer science and computer engineering topics at ISEL since 1997. In 2001, he became a member of the newly created Spoken Language Systems Lab (L2F) of INESC-ID. He is a member of Order of Portuguese Engineers. His current research interests are spoken dialogue systems and natural language interfaces.
