Abstract
This talk focusses on the speech synthesis issues in Speech-to-Speech Machine Translation(S2SMT). Specifically, I will present the TTS problems (not solutions!) we currently face in the PT-STAR project. I will present some oracle experiments which may be considered as the best-case performances and compare it to the current state of the system.
This is joint work with the PT-STAR groups in L2F and CMU. This is very much a work in progress and comments and suggestions are most welcome.
Note: This seminar will be held in English.
