Rubén Solera Ureña

Rubén Solera-Ureña received the M.Sc. degree in Telecommunications Engineering in 2004 and the Ph.D. degree in Multimedia and Communications in 2011, both from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Spain. Since May 2015, he is a researcher at Spoken Language Systems Laboratory (L2F), INESC-ID Lisbon. His research interests focus on the application of signal processing and machine learning methods to real-life pattern recognition, classification and prediction problems, specially in the fields of speech processing, automatic speech recognition, computational paralinguistics, image analysis and time-series analysis. He has participated in 16 national and international projects. From May 2015 to December 2018 he worked in project INSIDE, which explored symbiotic interactions between children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and robots used for therapeutical purposes.
