Patrícia Pereira is a PhD student at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) and researcher at INESC-ID, working at the intersection of Natural Language Processing and Affective Computing. She graduated in Electrical and Computer Engineering from IST and received a Dual Master's Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from IST and Computer Science and Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology. In her PhD, she has been focusing on Emotion Recognition in Conversations and also worked on Emotion Annotation Guidelines, Emotional Response Generation and automatic metrics for Dialogue Quality Estimation.

Besides her current research fields, she is interested at the intersection of Music, AI and Neuroscience.
