Ricardo has been a lecturer at [http://www.iscte.pt/ ISCTE] since 1999, teaching programming. He was a researcher at the Natural Language Group of INESC from 1996 to 2001. He is currently a researcher at the Spoken Language Systems Lab (L²F).
 
His current research interests are: automatic text summarization, discourse processing, corpora processing tools and lexical resources management. In the past, he has participated in several European and National projects, such as LE-PAROLE, LE-SIMPLE and "Léxico Multifuncional Computadorizado do Português Europeu".

Ricardo Ribeiro graduated in Mathematics/Informatics in 1996 from Universidade da Beira Interior (UBI), received a MSc degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) in 2003, on morpho-syntactic disambiguation, and PhD degree in Information Systems and Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) in 2011.

Ricardo was a lecturer at ISCTE from 1999 to 2011, teaching programming. He is currently an assistant professor. He began is research life at the Natural Language Group of INESC, from 1996 to 2001. He is currently a researcher at the Spoken Language Systems Lab (L²F).

His current research interests are: automatic speech/text summarizationdiscourse processing, and corpora processing tools. In the past, he has participated in several European and National projects, such as LE-PAROLE, LE-SIMPLE and "Léxico Multifuncional Computadorizado do Português Europeu".
