Francisco Afonso Raposo

Francisco graduated in Information Systems and Computer Engineering in 2012 from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), Lisbon. He received a Masters degree in Information Systems and Computer Engineering in 2014 (from IST) on automatic summarization for music classification and a PhD degree in Computer Science and Engineering in 2022 (from IST) on computational modeling of embodied music semantics under the supervision of professors David Martins de Matos and Ricardo Ribeiro.

Francisco has been a teaching assistant of the Operating Systems, Compilers, and Object-Oriented Programming courses at IST.

He was a research grant holder in the project eSPERTo, supported by Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT).

He was also a research intern at National Institute of Informatics (NII) working on music cross-modal retrieval.
